Something exciting is taking shape in Bengeo – a community mosaic project is in the works!
The vision is to create a vibrant piece of public art that reflects the character and spirit of our neighbourhood. This is a truly collaborative project, with opportunities for residents of all ages to get involved and leave their mark.
Work on the design of the mosaic is now complete and we are planning a series of workshops run under the direction and oversight of the local mosaic artist – Costello Mosaics. Volunteers will learn how to do the mosaic and do the elements which will be then put together on the big mosaic frame.
The Bengeo Mosaic pieces are being assembled and will be completed by the end of March, with a big reveal in March.
Funding for this projected is being provided by Hertford Town Council and Hertfordshire County Council’s Locality Budget scheme, thanks to Cll.Ben Crystall.
